At Pupil, we’re proud to announce a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainability: we’ve funded the planting of over 20,000 trees across 19 reforestation projects and contributed to 55 verified carbon avoidance initiatives globally.
This achievement reflects our dedication to creating a positive impact on the planet while supporting local communities and ecosystems. Sustainability is at the core of our mission, and we’re committed to taking meaningful actions to reduce our environmental footprint and help restore the planet’s natural balance.
Healthy trees play a vital role in addressing climate change. From the moment they’re planted, they act as “climate champions,” sequestering CO2 from the atmosphere and helping to restore healthy ecosystems. Trees also boost biodiversity, enrich soil health, and store additional carbon in their biomass and surrounding soils.
But the impact doesn’t stop with the environment—reforestation projects also deliver significant co-benefits for local communities, including:
Through these initiatives, we’re not just planting trees; we’re fostering resilient communities and ecosystems worldwide.
Beyond reforestation, Pupil has also supported carbon avoidance projects, helping prevent 1,464.74 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e) from entering the atmosphere. These projects play a crucial role in mitigating the effects of climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, restoring nature, and supporting sustainable development in local communities.
While reducing our own emissions remains the most impactful action we can take, contributing to carbon avoidance projects complements our efforts by addressing unavoidable emissions and driving meaningful global change.
As a company working at the forefront of real estate technology, we understand that innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. Our partnership with Ecologi helps us take practical steps to offset our emissions and invest in solutions that preserve our planet for future generations.
